The design intent for a new landmark office business park in Zichuan, China seeks to interpret and balance traditional Wu Xing site organizational principles with complex office, conference, and retail program requirements of six building owners.
The 1 million sf project is situated on a primary arterial roadway leading into downtown Zichuan, Shandong Province. Each building has an entrance lobby on the main level of the site, and also shares a water feature and landscape amenity that organizes and fronts their conference, cafeteria, and retail programs on a lower promenade level. The contemporary glass and aluminum crystalline tower forms grow out of a richly textured site base comprised of local building materials.
